Engsö castle - the church

Story time!

Brita Bååt was a woman living in the 1500s and known for being a very cruel human being. According to the legend she had driven two of her husbands to an early grave.
On christmas eve, Brita asked her maid to wake her early for the christmas service the next day. When she woke up, she saw from the window that the lights were on in the church outside her castle, and directly thought that the maid had forgotten to wake her up. Brita then hurried to the church even though the christmas service had already begun. When she opened the door she encountered a bunch of skeletons; it was the christmas service of the dead. Two of the phantoms attacked her; they were the men she had driven to a premature death. One of them tried to stab her with a sword but just cut off a piece of her veil. The other one threw a huge rock after her, but he also missed. Brita made it out of the church, but the shock killed her at the moment she was outside.
It is said that the stone (the third picture) and the veil and sword (the first picture) are the things from that incident. If you touch that stone, you will die, according to the legend.
